Macau is one base and a few short trips. The Peninsula holds the historic centre; Taipa and Cotai hold the resorts and Taipa Village. Buses, free hotel shuttles and taxis link them in 20 to 30 minutes, so do not change hotels. Coloane is a quiet half day by bus.
