Lembang is a mountain district about 15 km north of Bandung at roughly 1,500 m, on the slope of the active Tangkuban Perahu volcano. Air is cool, traffic is heavy on weekends, and most sights sit along one road. Two nights covers the crater, Maribaya and the milk stops without rushing.

Getting around
Angkot (minivan) from Bandung's Stasiun Hall via Ledeng runs to Lembang; black angkot continue toward Cikole and Subang. Grab and similar apps work mainly along Jl. Setiabudi, Jl. Raya Lembang and Jl. Pasir Ipis to Panorama Lembang Market — not in Maribaya or the Tangkuban Perahu area. A car with driver is the practical option for a full sightseeing day.

Watch out
Safety
- Weekend and holiday traffic on Jl. Setiabudi can double the Bandung–Lembang drive: leave early.
- Tangkuban Perahu charges a much higher entry for foreign visitors than for Indonesians; bring ID and expect to pay the foreign rate.
- Ride-hailing apps often have no cars in Maribaya or at the crater: agree a return time with your driver or charter an angkot.
- Crater-rim vendors are persistent; a firm, polite no is normal and usually ends it.
- Highland roads are steep and often foggy in the afternoon; avoid driving yourself if you are not used to it.
