Do a day trip to Kyaiktiyo for the Golden Rock; one night only if you need rest after the mountain climb.
Kyaiktiyo is a pilgrim town centred on the Golden Rock. The main attraction is a short climb from Kinpun (14 km) by truck (≈2 h) or cable car. Most visitors spend a few hours at the top and return the same day; overnight stays are only for those who prefer sleeping on the mountain or need a rest after a long bus ride.
