Kolonia is a small coastal town: the main street runs inland from the harbour, the Spanish wall and old town lie north-west on a low rise, the harbour road runs east along the water, and the east road heads toward the cross-island road. Everything in town is within about 2 km; the airport is on Sokehs Island across a causeway, about 10 minutes by car.
