Give Jecheon 1–2 nights as a lake-and-mountain base: Cheongpung Lake cable car, Uirimji reservoir, Woraksan trailheads. Skip if you want city nightlife.
Jecheon is a small inland city in North Chungcheong, ringed by the Taebaek and Sobaek ranges and sitting on Cheongpung Lake, a flooded valley of drowned hills and relocated pavilions. It is a rail junction — KTX-Ieum, ITX and Mugunghwa trains all stop here — so it works as a one- or two-night base for lake viewpoints, Uirimji reservoir and Woraksan National Park, not as a city break.
