The town itself is small: two supermarkets, one main street, and a covered timber pedestrian bridge over the river.

Get around
The centre is walkable: IGA on the north side of the river, SavOn on the south. A car is the easiest way to reach the resort, trailheads and the Skybridge. In winter the resort runs a Snow Shuttle around town and up the mountain (fare applies, check current price). Mount 7 Taxi runs 24 h; a cross-town trip is about C$10–15 and up to Kicking Horse about C$30–40. No passenger trains stop in Golden.
