Gladstone (nicknamed 'Happy Rock') is a small town on Little Bay de Noc, best known for walleye fishing and a winter ski hill. Most travellers pass through on US 2 between Escanaba and Manistique. The town has a few good restaurants and a lakeside park, but no major sights that demand a stop. Use it for a meal break or a single night if you need to split a long drive across the Upper Peninsula.
