Spend half a day exploring the castle ruins and lakeside, or a full day if you want kayaking and a guided town tour.
Esch-sur-Sûre is a tiny Ardennes town centred on the Upper Sûre dam, castle ruins and the lake park. It is reachable by hourly bus from Ettelbruck and is walkable, making a half‑day visit enough for the sights, but add a day for water activities or a guided bike tour.
