The Eastern Townships (Estrie) sit between Montreal and the US border, southeast of Montreal. Towns are spread out and buses link only the main ones, so a car decides how much you see. Sleep in Sherbrooke for a city base and Bishop's University's English-speaking Lennoxville, in Magog for the lake and Mount Orford, or in Granby for the zoo and Yamaska National Park. Ski hills (Bromont, Sutton, Orford, Owl's Head) and the wine route fill the gaps between villages; pick one per day.
