Getting there
Dubai is a flight-first destination, so the airfare usually decides the trip. Fares swing with season: November to March is peak and New Year doubles hotel rates, while June to August is hot and cheap. If your dates are flexible, compare a summer trip against a winter one before booking anything else.
On the ground, buy a silver Nol card at a metro station and top it up; it covers metro, bus, tram and abra.
