Fermanagh is Northern Ireland's lakeland: Lower and Upper Lough Erne, a navigable waterway that runs to the Shannon, and a limestone edge along the border with caves and a geopark. Enniskillen is the main base and the main transport hub. Two nights covers the town, one lough and Marble Arch Caves; three nights adds a boat day or the border villages. Public transport reaches Enniskillen and the corridors to Belfast, Dublin, Sligo and Donegal, and almost nothing else — plan on a car.
