Armagh is Northern Ireland's ecclesiastical and orchard county: two cathedrals on one hill, a prehistoric royal site at Navan Fort, and cider country around Portadown and Lurgan. The towns sit on the Belfast–Dublin rail and bus corridors, but Navan Fort, Slieve Gullion and the orchard lanes need a car or a taxi. One night in Armagh city plus a half-day loop covers the core; add a second night if you want Slieve Gullion and the Newry Canal path.
