Go for one full day by car from Toronto or Brampton: two or three outdoor stops, then leave. Without a car, skip it.
Caledon is the rural north of Peel Region: villages, farms, the Niagara Escarpment and the Credit River, all protected greenbelt and conservation land. Sights are spread over a large area with no town centre and almost no public transport, so a car decides the trip. Most visitors come for a single day of hiking, badlands and cider, and sleep in Bolton or nearby Brampton.

Get around
A car is effectively required: trailheads and villages sit 10–25 min apart on country roads with no useful bus. GO bus 38 links Bolton to Malton (for the Kitchener line train), and GO bus 37 serves Caledon Village from Brampton, both timed to trains. Inside villages you walk; between them you drive.
