Bruce County is the Bruce Peninsula plus the Lake Huron shore: limestone cliffs, cold clear water and the northern end of the Bruce Trail. It is a car region — 2.5–3.5 hours from Toronto — and summer weekends fill beds and park parking lots. Sleep in Southampton or Port Elgin for beaches and food, in Tobermory for the national park and the ferry, and treat Wiarton and Lion's Head as quieter stops on the way north.
