Beaverton

Beaverton is a western suburb of Portland in Washington County, about 20 minutes from downtown by car and roughly 30–40 minutes by MAX light rail. Get around
TriMet MAX Blue Line links Beaverton Transit Center with downtown Portland and Hillsboro; the Red Line continues to the airport. The WES commuter rail runs to Wilsonville via Tigard and Tualatin on weekdays. Local buses (including frequent Route 57 along TV Highway, 24/7) fill the gaps. Distances between malls and parks are long: a car or bike makes the suburb work, and parking is usually free.
