The capital and Escaldes-Engordany run together along the valley floor and form the one base that fits a short stay. The old town, the shopping street and the spa are within a 30-minute walk; the ski areas and the quieter valleys are a short bus ride up the road. Keep the capital room and go up for the day rather than moving hotels.
