Anaheim is a theme-park and stadium town, not a sightseeing city. Almost everything a visitor does sits in two clusters about 3 km apart: the Disneyland Resort on Harbor Blvd and the stadium district (Angel Stadium, Honda Center, ARTIC station) on Katella Ave. Plan around those two, and treat the rest of the city as a place to sleep and eat.

- Disneyland and Disney California Adventure need dated tickets and, on busy days, a park reservation: buy on the official site.

Anaheim is a normal US city: the resort area is busy and well lit, and the main annoyances are traffic, heat and petty theft from cars. Avoid walking alone at night in the blocks east of Harbor Blvd and around the ARTIC underpasses; use rideshare after dark.
