Zrenjanin
Half a day is enough: walk the main square, see the Town Hall and the Cathedral, then move on. Not worth an overnight unless you have a car and want a quiet base.
Zrenjanin is the largest city in the Serbian Banat, with a Habsburg-era centre around the Town Hall and the Roman Catholic Cathedral. It has a few museums and a riverside park, but most travellers use it as a lunch stop between Novi Sad and Vršac or Kikinda.
