Zagreb by district
Zagreb’s centre has three layers. The Upper Town (Gornji Grad, with Kaptol beside it) is on the hill; the Lower Town (Donji Grad) is the flat grid below; the Green Horseshoe of parks and museums wraps the Lower Town in a U. Ilica, the long shopping street, runs west from the main square.
