Zabrze is an industrial town in the Katowice conurbation whose draw is underground: the Coal Mining Museum's Guido Mine at 320 m and the Queen Louisa Adit, toured partly by boat. Sights sit along one street, 3 Maja, and the town is 20 minutes by train from Katowice. Most travellers see it as a day trip, not a base.

Get around
ZTM buses and trams cover the whole GZM conurbation on one ticket system; buy from machines or apps. Trams 1, 3, 4 and 5 meet at Plac Wolności. The bus interchange is 200 m west of the railway station. Metrorower bike share has stations across town.
