Yubeng
Spend 3–5 days trekking the Meili Snow Mountain sights (Holy Waterfall, Ice Lake, Holy Lake); add a day for travel to/from Shangri‑La.
Yubeng is a remote Tibetan village in north‑western Yunnan that serves as the trailhead for three full‑day hikes in the Meili range. Reaching it requires a bus or minivan from Deqin or Fei Lai Si, then a hike or jeep into the village. Because each major sight takes a day, most hikers allocate 3–5 days round‑trip, plus travel days from Shangri‑La, the nearest airport.
