Yasuj is the capital of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, set in the Zagros mountains about 150 km from Shiraz. Its main draw is the Yasuj waterfall, a popular picnic spot, and a small museum of local archaeology. Most travellers pass through on the road between Shiraz and Isfahan.
