The Yasawas are a 90 km chain of about a dozen main islands north-west of Nadi, reached by the Yasawa Flyer from Port Denarau. The ferry runs one loop a day, so moving islands costs a day each time. Pick one island for a short trip, two for a week, and treat everything else as a stop on the way up or back.

- Changing islands every night burns a full day each time on the ferry loop.
- Some reefs are still recovering from past coral damage; snorkelling is patchy, so ask your resort where the marine sanctuary is.
- Local water taxis are cheaper but slower and less reliable; do not use them if a delay would ruin your plans.
- Cyclones are possible December to April; ferry services can be cancelled for a day or more.
