Yao
八尾
Skip Yao unless you have a specific reason (temple, cycling route). It is a commuter suburb of Osaka: 20 min by train, but no sight that justifies a detour.
Yao is a residential city in eastern Osaka Prefecture, known for the 6th-century Taiseishōgun-ji temple and a few local parks. It has no major tourist draw. Most travellers pass through on the Kintetsu or JR lines between Osaka and Nara. Half a day is enough if you stop, but there is no reason to go out of your way.
