Xingping is a small riverside town on the Li River, 27 km upstream from Yangshuo. Its Karst scenery and the Bird's View Pavilion are reachable on foot in 10–15 minutes. With a hostel and cheap boat trips, a half‑day covers the main sights; an overnight adds a relaxed pace and night‑time river ambience.
