Wymondham

Wymondham (say "WIND-um") is a small market town 9 miles south-west of Norwich, on the Cambridge–Norwich rail line and the A11. Two sights carry it: a former Benedictine priory that is now the parish church, and a 17th-century bridewell turned heritage museum. Everything else is a working town with supermarkets, banks and a leisure centre. It works as a half-day from Norwich, or as a cheap, quiet base with a car for Banham Zoo, Snetterton and the Lotus factory at Hethel.
