Wupperthal
Skip unless you are driving the Cederberg loop: half a day for the village, then move on. The 2018 fire destroyed most buildings; the draw is the surrounding wilderness, not the town.
Wupperthal is a small Moravian mission village in the Cederberg, rebuilt after a 2018 fire. The village itself has one restaurant (check if reopened) and a handful of rooibos tea farms. Most visitors use it as a base for the Cederberg Wilderness Nature Reserve — the Maltese Cross rock formation, Stadsaal caves and San rock art are the real draw. You can see the village on foot in 10 minutes; plan your day around the reserve.
