Woods Hole is a small village in the town of Falmouth, at the southwest tip of Cape Cod, and it is the year-round ferry terminal for Martha's Vineyard. Almost everything sits within a 15-minute walk: the Steamship Authority dock, the marine science campuses, a free aquarium, a lighthouse and a handful of waterfront restaurants. Most travellers pass through in half a day on the way to the island; one night is enough to see it properly.
