Williamstown is the everyday name for Monroe Township, Gloucester County: a spread-out crossroads town on US 322 and Route 42, about 24 mi (39 km) southeast of Philadelphia and 14.5 mi (23 km) northwest of Hammonton. There is no train station and no walkable sight cluster, so a car is required and most visitors pass through on the way to the Jersey Shore or the Pine Barrens.
