Weyburn
One night, or a 2–3 hour stop on the Regina–Estevan drive: the Soo Line museum and the curling collection are the reasons to break the trip.
Weyburn is a small prairie city of about 11,000 people on Highways 13, 35 and 39, 115 km southeast of Regina and 85 km northwest of Estevan. It grew as a railway junction where the CP mainline met the US-bound Soo Line, and its sights are indoor, small and cheap: a local history museum with a 5,000-piece silver collection, the world's first curling museum, and a heritage village open in summer. It is a half-day stop or an overnight on the southern Saskatchewan route, not a destination in itself.

Get around
A car is the practical way in and around: the city sits at the junction of Highways 13, 35 and 39, and sights such as the golf club and the curling museum are not walkable from each other. In town, taxis cover short hops; there is no useful local bus for visitors.
