Skip as a base unless you have a car and a reason: one half-day for the Washington Secondary Trail and Goddard Park, then sleep in Providence or Warwick.
West Warwick is a mill-town suburb of Providence, 20–25 minutes by car from downtown and under 10 minutes from T.F. Green airport (PVD). There is no old-town core to walk: the draw is the paved Washington Secondary Trail along the Pawtuxet River, Goddard Park on the bay, two 9-hole golf courses and cheap motels near the airport. Treat it as a bed or a bike stop inside a Kent County trip, not a destination on its own.
