Wenchang
文昌
Spend 1–2 days in Wenchang: visit the Confucius Temple, coconut groves and Tonggu Ridge; skip if you only have a few hours.
Wenchang is a low‑key coastal town on Hainan’s northeast coast. Its historic Confucius Temple, expansive coconut plantations and nearby Tonggu Ridge give a glimpse of everyday Hainan life. With a modest budget you can see the main sights in a day, but an extra night lets you relax on the quieter beaches of Dongjiao.
