Watson Lake is a town of about 800 people in southeastern Yukon, 22 km from the British Columbia border, where the Alaska Highway meets the Robert Campbell Highway and, 21 km west, the Stewart-Cassiar Highway. Almost everyone arrives by car on a long drive. The stop is short: the Signpost Forest, a northern-lights show in summer, and a bed. Plan one night, two if you want the Liard River Hot Springs.

You need a car. The town spreads about 8 km from the core out to the Airport Road turn-off, and the Stewart-Cassiar junction is 21 km west. Local taxi services run in town.
