Wadebridge is a small market town on the Camel Estuary, 8 km upstream from Padstow. It is not a sightseeing town: its value is the flat, traffic-free Camel Trail, a pedestrianised shopping street, and cheaper beds than the coast. Two nights covers the trail, Padstow and one inland house or garden. Without a bike or a car, the town runs out of things to do in half a day.
