Vourvourou
A 2–3 night base for boat trips to Diaporos Island and quiet beaches; skip if you want a historic village or nightlife.
Vourvourou is a seasonal strip of tavernas, shops and rooms on the Sithonia peninsula, not a historic village. Its main draw is Diaporos Island, a cluster of uninhabited islets 300 m offshore with pine-backed coves and empty beaches. Most visitors rent a motorboat (no licence needed) for the day or paddle a kayak. Two nights let you do the boat trip and relax; three if you add a day on nearby beaches.
