Villafranca Montes de Oca
Skip unless you're walking the Camino de Santiago: a 20-min stop for the church and a drink, or a pilgrim bed for one night.
Villafranca Montes de Oca is a tiny village (about 130 residents) on the French Way of the Camino de Santiago in Castile and León. It has one notable church, a grocery store, a few bar-restaurants and a hotel with dorms. Non-pilgrims can see it in 20 minutes; pilgrims use it as a short stop or an overnight stage between Burgos and Atapuerca.
