Victoria

Victoria is a half-day town: do the market and clock tower before 11:00, then go to the beach; sleep at Beau Vallon if you want sand at the door.

Victoria is one of the smallest capitals in the world, and its sights are a few streets apart. The trip that goes wrong is the one that expects the town to fill a day, or that leaves the ferry quay to the last minute. Four small walking areas cover the town, the botanical garden and the harbour, and Beau Vallon is the beach base a short taxi ride away.
