Get around
Downtown, Main Street and the pier are walkable in 20–30 minutes end to end. Gold Coast Transit buses cover Ventura, Oxnard and Port Hueneme but run infrequently; a car is the practical choice for the harbour, the outlets and day trips. Amtrak Pacific Surfliner stops at Ventura station downtown, Metrolink commuter trains at East Ventura.
