- Most restaurants take turns closing for dinner because most visitors are day-trippers: ask your hotel which is open tonight.
- Acqua alta can flood low fondamente in autumn and winter; check the tide forecast before walking the outer edge.
Murano is a quiet, low-crime island; the real risks are the free-boat glassworks scam, counterfeit glass and autumn acqua alta on the outer walkways.
