Vellinge is a small municipality on the southwestern edge of Scania, best known for the Foteviken Viking Museum, the twin seaside towns of Skanör and Falsterbo, and the Falsterbo Horse Show. The village centre has a Romanesque church and a few cafés. Most travellers use it as a short stop on the E6 between Malmö and Trelleborg, or as a day-trip from Malmö for the beach and Viking history.
