Växjö
Give Växjö one night, two if you want a glassworks day: lakes and cathedral on foot, glass country only by car.
Växjö is a small university town in Småland with lakes on three sides and a 12th-century cathedral whose windows are filled with glass from the region's furnaces. The town itself is a half-day on foot; the reason to stay longer is the Kingdom of Crystal, 30–60 km away and awkward without a car. Trains reach Copenhagen and its airport directly, which makes it a soft landing or a last stop in Sweden.
