Vaughan is a sprawled suburban city of about 288,000 north of Toronto, made of old towns — Woodbridge, Maple, Thornhill, Kleinburg, Concord — plus a new downtown at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. Its two real draws are Canada's Wonderland and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg. Everything else is grid roads, malls and freeways, so a car or a bus plan matters more here than in Toronto.
