Vank is a small town in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, best known for the 13th-century Gandzasar Monastery. Since the 2023 Azerbaijani offensive, travel to Karabakh is heavily restricted and only possible with a state invitation for an official tour. Most travellers cannot visit independently. If you do get access, a half-day covers the monastery and the town.
