Valsad
વલસાડ
Half a day is enough for Tithal Beach and the temples; use Valsad as a lunch stop or a quiet overnight on the way to Daman or Silvassa.
Valsad is a small coastal city in South Gujarat known for its mango orchards, Tithal Beach and a handful of temples. Most travellers pass through on the Mumbai–Surat–Vadodara rail line. The city works as a short break from the highway or a base for exploring Dharampur and the nearby hill stations, but it does not have enough to fill a full day unless you are very slow.

Scams and watch-outs
- Tithal Beach has strong currents: swim only in designated areas.
- Mango season is May–June; orchards may be closed to visitors outside that window.
- Auto-rickshaw drivers may quote inflated fares for tourists: agree on a price first.
Valsad is generally safe for tourists. Petty theft is rare but keep an eye on your belongings at the railway station and beach. The main risk is traffic on the highway through town.
