Valle de Guadalupe is Mexico's main wine region, about 20 km north of Ensenada and roughly 113 km southeast of the San Diego–Tijuana border. It is a spread-out valley of dirt roads, 180-plus wineries, Baja Med restaurants and boutique inns, not a walkable town. Two nights with your own or a hired car is the practical minimum; a cruise-ship day tour shows you very little.

Get around
A car is the practical way to cover the valley: most roads are maintained dirt with potholes after rain, and low-clearance cars can struggle. Uber and taxis work in the valley and in Ensenada, and hiring a driver for a full day is the usual answer if you plan to taste. ABC buses run Tijuana–Ensenada frequently, with one to three buses a day onward to the valley (about 45 min, from M$60 second class).
