The honest verdict

Vaduz has no airport and no main-line station of its own: you arrive by car or bus from Sargans, Buchs or Feldkirch, or by a pre-booked car from Zurich. The centre is one pedestrian street below a castle you cannot enter, and prices are Swiss. What goes wrong is time and cost: two hours of transfers for a two-hour visit, and a Swiss-priced lunch. Four small areas cover the town; keep one bed and use the bus for Triesenberg and Malbun.
