Vacaria
Skip Vacaria unless you're driving BR-116 between Caxias do Sul and Lages: half a day for the Niemeyer building and the waterfalls, then move on.
Vacaria is a mid-size cattle and apple town on the high plains of Rio Grande do Sul, best known for Oscar Niemeyer's only building in the state and a small waterfall park.
