Tulapur
Skip Tulapur unless you are a Maratha history enthusiast: a 30-minute stop at the Sambhaji memorial is enough, then continue to Pune or Mulshi.
Tulapur is a small town on the Bhima River, known as the place where Maratha emperor Sambhaji was executed and cremated. The main draw is the Samadhi of Sambhaji and a small museum. Most travellers pass through on the way to Pune or the hill stations of Mulshi and Bhimashankar. There is no reason to stay overnight.
