Get around
Route 6 is the spine of the Outer Cape and Route 6A runs along the bay side. A car is the practical way to reach the beaches, the lighthouse and Provincetown; there is no useful local bus network for sightseeing. Bicycles work on the back roads but the main roads have narrow shoulders. The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority runs seasonal Outer Cape service — check current routes and times before relying on it.
