Towaoc

Towaoc is the gateway to the Ute Mountain Tribal Park, a less-visited cousin of Mesa Verde with guided tours of cliff dwellings, petroglyphs and ancestral Puebloan sites. The town itself is a small reservation community with a casino and a few basic services. Most travellers use Cortez, 15 minutes away, as a base.
